Although pesto verde is a well-known classic of Italian cuisine, pesto rosso belongs to it just as well. This pesto consists of basil, oregano, garlic, cheese and tiny, sun-dried tomatoes. The mixture of herbs is well-flavoured and is a warm, spicy addition to the dish. Extremely suitable for hot dishes such as soups and sauces, but is very good in cold dishes, as seasoning for salads or as flavouring in sandwich spreads too.
