The Norwegian, Icelandic and North Sea cod are actually the same fish. It is striking that in Norwegian waters there are much larger specimens. The Norwegian cod swim in the cold waters of the Barents Sea where the sea water is very pure. Today there is a lot of Norwegian cod and it is no longer threatened with extinction.
