Vegan Matsu Ton Katsu
The Vegan Matsu Ton Katsu (a kind of plant-based small schnitzel) is packed with protein and is a perfect addition to your vegetarian or vegan dish. The Vegan Matsu Ton Katsu is made from Sparc Kitchen's own plant-based wheat texture. The taste is subtle, and must be flavored in a dish in combination with, for example, a sauce.
* PREPARATION: Fry at a minimum of 170 degrees and at least 2-3 minutes

The homemade wheat texturate is based on an age-old process, originally from Japan. It resembles seitan, which literally means 'full of protein', which has been prepared traditionally for hundreds of years. It is made from wheat flour and water. By rinsing the dough, the wheat protein, the gluten, remains. The gluten mass is cooked in water or (vegetarian) stock to a product with a spongy structure and a savoury flavour.
