Scallops french in scale
The scallops de St-Jacques are also called large scallops in the Netherlands. Internationally, this shellfish shell is called Scallop. The color of this coquilla shell is light cream and has a maximum diameter of 13 cm. When you count 16 ribs on the shell you have the real St Jakob shell. Compared to other scallops, this specimen has a thinner shell.
