    Description

    Haddock is found in the colder waters of the Atlantic Ocean from Norway, England to the waters around Iceland. In the cold elevated waters of the Barents Sea at Norway, large numbers are often found. The haddock from the Norwegian waters can reach a length of 100 cm with a weight of 16 kg, and swim to a depth of 450 m. Haddock is a cod-like, and has a predominantly gray colored skin with a slightly dark top, and has a clear dark line on the flank. Characteristic is the dark spot. This dark spot is also called the "Peter Thumb".
