Our Chai latte is a popular hot drink for those who want something different from coffee, tea, cappuccino or latte. Chai is Indian for 'tea', but in the Western world it stands for a luxurious mixture of sweetened black tea, milk or cream and exotic spices. Chai is rapidly emerging as a new hot drink in addition to all coffee and tea varieties.

In some countries Chai is prepared with hot water, but in our country it is mainly prepared with hot (steamed) milk. You prepare Chai by putting a number of (tea) spoons of Chai powder in a mug, mixing it with a little hot water and stirring it into a paste. Finally add hot (steamed) milk. Our Chai latte with vanilla contains all the antioxidant benefits of tea, but is wonderfully sweet and creamy and seasoned with warming spices. Because our Chai latte is prepared with - preferably steamed - milk, it tastes mainly like a spiced hot milk drink.
