Harissa is the hot flavouring found in Arabic kitchens. This origins of this spice melange are found in Tunisia, where it is a popular flavouring in addition to the meat and vegetable dishes. Harissa is made from peppers, garlic, cumin, coriander, tomato and paprika; it has a tangy and mildly hot flavour.
